COYAD Parents Seminar

December 28, 2019


COYAD held the Parents Seminar at COYAD Atlanta office Saturday, December 28, 2019. COYAD introduced what COYAD is, COYAD classes, and volunteer credit hours COYAD can offer to the students. At this seminar, president Paul B. Lim emphasized the importance of communication, relationship, and friendship between each other. Also, he introduced COYAD 3C which are camp, campaign, and center. We had Mr. Jim Harris, vice president of Interactive College of Technology, spoke about the importance of accepting our youth and giving love to them.

Ms. Lashonta Luvene introduced about her school PCOM and how she is contributing to our organization at the 4th COYAD orientation for students.

Mr. Azer Delva made a speech about how serious the current drug situation is at the 4th COYAD orientation for students. He also advised the students to use their money, time and talent in a better and more valuable way. 

COYAD 4th Orientation for Students

November 22, 2019


COYAD held the 4th Orientation for Students at COYAD Atlanta office Friday, November 22, 2019. We introduced COYAD to the students and parents who attended the orientation. At this orientation, president Paul B. Lim said “Youth is our hope and future” therefore they need to be prepared, have a dream, and network with each other. At this orientation Mr. Paul Shin and Mr. Shawn Kim had a time to introduce their daughters, who are currently COYAD members, how they are campaigning at their own school. We had our COYAD volunteer Ms. Lashonta Luvene introduced about her school PCOM and how she is contributing to our organization. Mrs. Jenny Wang, who is currently GA Chinese Community Camp President emphasized on how important educating our youth is. Last but not least, we had the juvenile probation officer Mr. Azer Delva gave a speech about the money used by drug addicts and how the government spends triple amount of that money in order to cure them. He advised the students to use the money in a better and more valuable way. 

COYAD Honorary Advisory Committee Meeting

November 15, 2019


COYAD held the 1st Honorary Advisory Committee Meeting at COYAD Atlanta office Friday, November, 2019. COYAD staff members briefly introduced what COYAD is to our advisors. In addition, we had time to introduce our advisors one by one and each of them gave a short speech on why they were interested in COYAD.

COYAD Atlanta Camp 3rd Orientation

October 19, 2019


COYAD held the 3rd Atlanta Camp orientation at COYAD Atlanta office Saturday, October 19, 2019. COYAD staff members briefly introduced what COYAD is to the newcomers. At this orientation, two college students from Georgia State University and Georgia Institute of Technology were appointed as COYAD Student Team Leader for their school.  Paul B. Lim, president of COYAD, made a speech on how people are just behaving as a bystander not involving in drug issues. He urged COYAD members to let people know how prevention is important and the only thing we need is their interest on protecting our youth. 

COYAD Martial Arts Class in Milwaukee, WI

October 17, 2019


On October 17,2019 COYAD held the taekwondo class in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Students attended the taekwondo class led by Master Duke Lee. Students who attended the class had a short education on drug prevention and leanered teakwondo. COYAD is welcoming students to attend our class activities. Please feel free to contact us anytime!

at Georgia Chinese Festival

COYAD Georgia Chinese Community Camp held an Anti-Drug Campaign at Atlanta Chinatown Fall Festival. 
Saturday, October 5, 2019. Time: 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at 5389 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA 30341.
COYAD Members promoted on how important drug prevention is to youth and our community.

Orientation

October 9, 2019

COYAD held an orientation at the COYAD Atlanta office Wednesday, October 9, 2019. COYAD staff members and people who were interested in COYAD gathered together. 
Paul B. Lim, president of COYAD, spoke briefly on “What is COYAD.” He explained COYAD's mission and vision, COYAD action plan, and COYAD volunteer programs. 
After President Lim’s orientation, all the  staff members and guests had a time to introduce themselves and share their opinions on why Drug Prevention is important. 

COYAD Opens Office in Atlanta, Georgia

October 1, 2019


COYAD have recently opened an office location in Duluth, Georgia. 

The new office, located at 3235 Satellite Blvd. Bldg. 400, Suite 105, Duluth, GA. 

It is open on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and Saturday from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. 

COYAD Chinese Community Presentation

September 27, 2019


On September 27, 2019 COYAD held a presentation at our COYAD member Christy Hao’s house. 

The Chinese community gathered to hear about COYAD’s Mission and Vision on drug prevention and education. We shared our values and how important is to prevent drug abuse from an early age. 

COYAD Anti-Drug Campaign at Japanese Festival

September 22, 2019


On September 22, 2019 COYAD held an Anti-Drug Campaign at the Japan Fest 2019 in Atlanta Georgia. With more than 22,000 attendees in 2018, JapanFest 2019 continues in its 33rd year as the largest Japan-related event in the Southeastern United States. At this festival COYAD members launched an anti-drug campaign in an effort to prevent drug abuse in our community.

August 18, 2019


On August 18, 2019 COYAD held a presentation at Tampa, Florida. At this presentation our COYAD members introduced COYAD’s Mission and Vision on how important drug prevention is to youth. 

We invited Ms. Lonica as a guest speaker. She shared her story on how drugs affect our lives. 


COYAD Korean, Chinese, Japanese
Community Meeting

September 8, 2019

COYAD Korean, Chinese, Japanese members gathered on Sunday to discuss drug related problems in each community and how to prevent it. Drug problems do not occur in a particular community but it can happen anytime, anywhere. Thus, we must all work together to prevent drug abuse.

Disciple’s Church

September 14, 2019

COYAD held a presentation at Disciple’s Church, Suwanee, Georgia.  
Middle school and high school students attended this presentation. COYAD member Lydia Lim introduced COYAD’s Mission and Vision on how important drug prevention is to youth. After a brief introduction on COYAD, we had time to hear each student speak about drug related issues at their school. 

COYAD Youth Leadership Meeting

COYAD members gathered on Monday to discuss on how to educate youth in order to become leaders. 

Members working in different areas presented their own ideas for improving COYAD’s leadership program. 

COYAD 1st Atlanta Camp Orientation at Wingate Hotel

COYAD held a presentation at Wingate Hotel, Duluth Georgia. 

At this presentation President Paul B. Lim introduced COYAD’s Mission and Vision on how important drug prevention is to youth. He introduced COYAD’s Total Integration System which helps prevent drug use at the earliest from elementary students to people who are working. Parents who participated at this presentation shared their opinion on drug prevention and how drug is spreading among students. 

COYAD ATLANTA ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN

June 16, 2019


On June 16, 2019 COYAD held its First Anti-Drug Campaign in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Drug abuse is harmful at any age, but if drug use is initiated at an earlier age, the more likely users are to consume dangerous substances progressively. Thus, preventing or delaying use of drugs among youth is a critical goal for our community and for the world. We hope COYAD’s Anti-Drug Campaign encourages action on families, friends and communities to take part in our campaigns to help youth live a healthy and responsible life.
